It was a chilly day in March when I got to meet up with these two. Dreamy morning portraits was our goal— despite the wind, rain, and road closures for a St. Patrick’s Day parade, we managed to make it happen!
Leah and Landon are so sweet on each other, and so authentic with their love. Landon isn’t a big talker, but knows that Leah really loves notes, so almost every morning since they’ve been married, he has written a little note to her and left it in their kitchen. She told me that she has hundreds of them saved.
I asked them to tell me their proposal story, and it was so sweet that I have to share that, too! Leah was doing a post-graduate internship in Portland, Oregon for a few months. Landon flew out and surprised her one weekend. He carried the ring in his pocket that whole weekend, waiting for a good moment to propose! The second night he was there, they drove to a quiet road next to the airport and watched the airplanes land and the runway all lit up. He asked her there, and my heart, I can only imagine how beautiful it must have been!
One of my very favorite parts of this work I get to do is the number of love stories I am so lucky to hear and witness. I had the most wonderful morning getting to know Landon and Leah, and I just adore how their portraits turned out!
